I stumbled upon this event at McHenry County College today while covering something different. The local Big Brothers/Big Sisters group organized a prom dress sale. National Honor Societies from the area collected used dresses and they were then sold for $20 each. There were accessories and shoes also available for sale at a HUGE discount. And the dresses were amazing! Some very lucky girls can now go to prom without having to work 3 part-time jobs or have their parents take out a second mortgage to afford the dress.

A good cause
